The Maidstone Singers
The Maidstone Singers, founded in 1998, is a group of 28 accomplished singers who perform a cappella choral works dating from the 16th Century to the present day and modern close harmony arrangements of popular music and folk songs.
We are based in Maidstone, the County Town of Kent, and most of our concerts take place in the local area. However, we also perform regularly in Europe on tour and by invitation to Music Festivals. In recent years performances have been given in Croatia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Malta, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg and Bulgaria. In 2014 we appeared in an episode of the popular BBC T.V. series ‘Call the Midwife’ and in 2021 in a Christmas edition of BBC’s ‘Bargain Hunt’.
